Bermuda

Bermuda is a British island territory in the North Atlantic Ocean known for its pink-sand beaches such as Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Bay. Its massive Royal Naval Dockyard complex combines modern attractions like the interactive Dolphin Quest with maritime history at the National Museum of Bermuda. The island has a distinctive blend of British and American culture, which can be found in the capital, Hamilton.

In May of 2014, Liz and I were fortunate enough to visit this fabulous island onboard the Celebrity Summit. It was a wonderful trip. We boarded the Summit in Cape Liberty then after two sea days docked in Bermuda at King’s Wharf. We had arranged a private tour with two other couples and immediately upon arrival met our tour guide and began our exploration of the island. I have to say that I cannot imagine having a better tour guide.

Having been shown the entire island on the first day we spent the second day exploring on our own. We took a local bus all the way to St. Georges and then a fast ferry back to King’s Wharf. The third day we explored the King’s Wharf area and our ship departed late afternoon of the third day.

Below are some photos from our trip.
